Minding Your Own Business Gathering

Did you hear about our March Gathering “Minding Your Own Business” with guest speaker Rachel Dolcine of Compass Consulting and Training Solutions? A very interactive and engaging gathering for women who have dreamed of starting her own business or nonprofit organization but don’t know where to begin or for a variety of reasons haven’t been able to jumpstart it. The Lost Art of Wise Counsel Gathering for Women

BOND Inc will be hosting a special BOND Gathering. Which will include a open panel discussion and Speed Mentoring May 16. We will be focusing on a broad range of topics and subject areas important to women of color (career, finances, marriage, child-rearing, relationships, health etc)

Speed Mentoring is a new concept that follows a similar format to speed dating. This format allows for quick-hit information from another professional to help solve a pressing need and targeted networking with the goal of finding a potential mentor.

Community Service is a major proponent for BOND Inc. Annually we choose a community service project to support. This year we will be collecting personal care items for an upcoming mission to trip to Jamaica. We are asking for your full support in this huge undertaking. Here at BOND Inc, we are suckers for Black Love and don’t mind letting our readers know it. For the second year in a row, BOND Inc is seeking couples from across the globe that want to share their personal love story. Since last year’s contest was such an amazing success, we wanted to make this loving gesture a BOND Inc tradition. If you didn’t have the opportunity to review last year’s winning couple here’s an opportunity to read such a beautiful story of love, triumph and commitment. Do you have an amazing story of how you met your soul mate? Or maybe you have an unbelievable story of how your once rocky relationship was able to withstand the test of time and now your love is on top? If so, enter your story in 2013 "The Best Hopeless Romantic Love Story".

Tell us what makes your love story "The Best Hopeless Romantic Love Story” in 400 words or less and you'll be entered for a chance to win a romantic dinner for two! Your story will be featured during the month of February where voters and viewers will pick their favorite story.

Essays will be based on the quality of writing style, originality, creativity, sincerity, emotional content and humor. The essay with the most votes will win the grand prize of a Romantic Dinner for two! Will you and your boo be our lucky winning couple?

Membership is the heart and soul of who BOND Inc is as a thriving organization. We are convinced that planning for membership growth is an essential step and worth the time and effort it takes. Our goal is for BOND membership to be stable and predictable.

You are officially declared a full- fledged member of BOND Inc when you have filled out the membership application and submitted your membership dues. Once those two things happen, you will receive your certificate of membership along with your BOND Member Card. GroupMe is a cool mobile app that allows you to stay in touch instantly and efficiently with the masses. We plan to use this tool to send out mass messages reminding everyone of our upcoming events/gatherings, share important news, cancellation, directions and a host of other useful information deemed necessary. Committee Members Needed

In preparation for the 8^th year Anniversary in November and our 2^nd Annual Poetry &Presents fundraising event in December, BOND is seeking volunteers to be apart of the Event Planning Committee. As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to take part in two of BOND’s most successful and much anticipated events. This is also a fun and exciting way to network with prominent business owners and organizations from in and around the community. You will also be able to gain additional skillset that you can add to your professional resume. July we will kick off the planning and hope you would join us in our planning efforts. Florida Here We Come Trip 2013

The lovely ladies of BOND Inc and Natural & All will be joining forces in putting together a fab trip to Florida next year. This will be a great way to connect with women from all over the US. It’s more than just a meetup, this is a MOVEMENT. We have a lot of great ideas in-store for this trip and would love for you to join us. Shopping, dining, entertainment, pampering a meet and greet and the list goes on. We believe in having a great time without breaking the bank.
