Ms. Bushrod is a clinical social worker in private practice with extensive training and experience in community-based social work. A community-based social worker has the advantage of sensitively understanding how one’s environment or surroundings impact one’s emotional well-being. Her background includes clinical and administrative social work experience in various positions. Clinical experience is with the homeless, chronically mentally ill population in inpatient psychiatric care, psychiatric mobile treatment, outpatient mental health and 15 years in private practice. Other experience includes school social work with elementary and middle-school students in public schools and public and private sector and administrative social work experience in child welfare and juvenile justice as a clinical consultant, clinical director, presenter/ trainer, field instructor and clinical social work supervisor.
Her company, Prosperity Redefined LLC provides psychotherapy and consultation. Psychotherapy at Prosperity Redefined LLC services adults wishing to examine issues with depression, anxiety and relationship problems with self, social and family connections and the workplace. Ms. Bushrod provides training for human service programs on topics of parenting, discipline, treatment foster care program development, mental health issues and professional boundaries. Prosperity Redefined LLC’s specialized program, Sister Blues Project, provides consultation, training and mediation on issues relevant to the psychology of African American Women.
